Know anywhere I have windows xp service pack 2 if that helps?
I%26#039;ve made my own webpages now I just need to know how to host it myself and have my own domain name any one...
to have your own domain name you%26#039;d have to pay for hosting (registration of the domain name usually is included).
It really isn%26#039;t as expensive as people think, I pay about $30(US) every 6 months using 1and1.com
There%26#039;s also this one I%26#039;ve heard of, probably even much cheaper:

After you have hosting it%26#039;s just a matter of uploading the pages through FTP.
I wrote a little about all that on a page on my site: http://www.one-tweak-loop.com/link_pages...

www.godaddy.com
xp service pack has nothing to do with web hosting or domain registeration.
Other Replys:If you mean you want to host them on your local machine, then you will need to get and install some web server software . . . Apache or IIS for example. IIS comes on the disk for Win2K3 Pro, so if you are running Home Edition, you%26#039;ll likely have to go with Apache.
If you want to host it remotely, then find a server and register the domain name and add your files there. I would recommend this unless your have some experience as a sysadmin/webmaster.
Hope this helped.
Other Replys:To host it yourself on your own machine you need to register the domain name and subscribe to a fixed IP address with your ISP.
They may also require you upgrade to a business broadband account. You must then open any required ports in your firewall and forward the same ports to your machine through your router. You need the machine permanently running and to be continuously running your web server. Set your domain registrar%26#039;s dns A and CNAME records to point to your machine%26#039;s public IP address.
Other Replys:Depends on what features you use and how much you want to spend. Myself, I found GoDaddy.com best value for domain registration and I use ezcgi for hosting. EzCgi may be a bit of overkill depending on what you have built, but I have found it very reliable and good bang per buck...
Oh, before anyone asks, I%26#039;m not and employee of GoDaddy or Ezcgi, just a satisfied customer.
Other Replys:Unfortunately it is not free of cost.
You can buy domain from namecheap.
Buy webhosting from websites like http://aplis.net/
and then upload your webpages to your web hosting account.
You may also contact a web designer to set up the whole things up for you. Check websites like http://getafreelnacer.com/
Other Replys:i recently started using http://www.namehustle.com ... great for scooping up premium domain names if your quick to register them
